Gemma Umberta Maria Galgani (born 12 March 1878 – died 11 April 1903), also known as «Gem of Christ», «Flower of Lucca», and «Saint of the Passion of Jesus», was an Italian mystic. She was canonised as a saint by the Roman Catholic Church in 1940.
St. Gemma Galgani is the patron saint for students, pharmacists, and for people who want to conquer temptations of impurity and who are seeking purity of heart.

St. Gemma had strong mystical abilities. She is said to have been blessed with visions of Jesus, the Blessed Virgin Mary and her guardian angel.
